My name is Sarah and I've been doing on and off genealogy for about 4 to 5 years. It all started with my grandmother (on my father's side) who had been researching both her side and her husband's side of the family tree. She had books about the ancestry of her family and my grandfather's. I thought it was so interesting and all this research had already been done, so my grandmother let me take home a couple of books one day and there is where it began.
I just recently graduated college so I have more time now (in a sense since now I work instead of study) to research and explore the paths that my grandmother had yet to do. She passed away in January of 2014, so just recently I have more documents of hers that she never threw away regarding genealogy.
My mother also had some information about her side of the family, but only one side; the other one is left to me to figure out. The ancestors I need to find from there are from Italy and Spain, so it should put my skills to work.
Currently I have been organizing what I already have and seeing what I don't, experimenting with different organizational techniques.
